In 1973 the Egyptian government issued a new trade and import law allowing the company to start importing and trading branded tires, In 1976, Ismail Mohamed Shehata joined his brother, Mr. Mohamed Shehata, to change the name of the company to Mr. Shehata. and his brother Ismail Company.
We started importing Japanese tires such as (Nito – Toyo – Bridgestone) directly from Japan as well as trading international brands such as (Michelin – Continental – Goodyear), At the same time the company started to develop the concept of tires in Egypt and won a share of more than 50% of the market in time.
The company was the first to introduce home brand names to the Egyptian market such as Hankook Tires, which was first introduced in 1981 and we have been the exclusive agent for the brand for more than 20 years.
